In every divorce action involving Minor Child(ren), the Court will, automatically, as part of the divorce order, award child support along with the distribution of marital assets, create a parenting plan for time-sharing of Minor Child(ren), and/or establish alimony along with adjudicate upon other matters involving the dissolution of the marriage. Child Support is usually granted by the Court for support of each of the Parties Minor Child(ren) unless the Wife is currently pregnant at the time of the finalization of the divorce because the Court is not empowered to order child support for a child who has not yet been born. It is also important to know that, during the pendency of the divorce action, temporary child support may be awarded as well in the best interest of the Minor Child(ren) involved.
