Randall L. Berman, Esquire
Mr. Randall L. Berman graduated the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy in 1976, and received his Juris Doctorate in 1980 from Drake University, School of Law. Mr. Berman is licensed to practice law and a licensed pharmacist in both Florida and Illinois. Mr. Berman joined K/S as “Of Counsel” in 2005.
Mr. Berman started his esteemed legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for Cook County, Illinois prosecuting traffic, misdemeanor and felony charges, later working for a firm specializing in medical malpractice. Mr. Berman started a private practice concentrating on personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, class action, labor law, real estate and appellate work gaining valuable litigation experience.
Mr. Berman then moved to Palm Beach County, Florida in 1986 becoming employed as an Assistant Palm Beach County Public Defender. During this time, Mr. Berman represented a wide array of defendants in misdemeanor and felony charges with over 40 jury trials to verdict. In 1989 through 1996, Mr. Berman became Felony Chief Public Defender for Palm Beach County supervising over 30 Felony Assistant Public Defenders, and defending complex cases involving capital crimes, RICO, fraud and homicide. In 1997 through 2002, Randy was promoted and served as Lead Trial Counsel for the Capital Crimes Division for the Office of the Public Defender in Palm Beach County at which time he handled over 90 1st Degree Murder cases, numerous Grand Jury Presentations, and won countless challenging cases through modern and traditional legal defense.
Mr. Berman’s primary concentration at the firm is the defense of criminal charges to include white collar criminal charges, such as embezzlement, RICO, and grand theft, as well as capital crimes, such as murder and manslaughter charges, for which he is one of few certified criminal defense attorneys to defend capital crimes.
Mr. Berman is an outgoing and personable individual. When not practicing law or pharmacology, Randy enjoys playing in a bowling league maintaining a healthy 212 bowling average, and loves to play golf.
